Department of Business Administration & Commerce was established in 1999. The department is running following courses:
- MBA w.e.f. A.Y. 2022-2023
- BBA (General) [1st and 2nd shift]
- BBA (Banking & Insurance) [1st and 2nd shift]
- B.Com.(Hons.) [1st and 2nd shift]
It aims to make students develop core competency in key areas of business management. It covers various aspect of business to communicate, analyze situations, present own views in front of a large audience, take decisions using quantitative and qualitative factors, and develop a holistic view of the different functional areas of business environment. As per the curriculum, students go for summer training or internship for getting real life hand on experience on real life projects.
The B.Com. course is aimed to create competence in particular areas of Accounting and its various dimensions along with a wide range of managerial skills. The course curriculam includes in depth subject-matter expertise by focusing on the concepts that includes the knowledge of basic theories, principles, methods and procedures of commerce and accounting. The curriculum of the B. Com. (Hons.) degree course is rigorous and progressive, and prepares its graduates for careers in commerce and accountancy as well as for other professional roles such as economic, business and security analysts and opens gateway of opportunities in both higher education to pursue Master’s-level courses such as M. Com and MBA and professional courses in commerce and accountancy such as CA, CS, ICWA, CIMA, CFA and CMA etc.
The department has 54 regular faculty members comprising of 03 Professor, 12 Associate Professors & 39 Assistant Professors. The intake of BBA (General) programme is 180 in first shift and 180 in second shift. Similarly intake of BBA (Banking and Insurance) is 60 in both shifts. The intake of B.Com. (Hons.) is 60 in 1st shift and 60 in 2nd Shift.
