NIMHANS is an institute of National Importance, funded by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. The clinical services of the Department of Psychiatry to the needs of patients across the country as well as neighboring countries in South Asia through regular outpatient, inpatient and various special clinics for de-addiction, geriatric psychiatry, schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, community psychiatry, family psychiatry, perinatal mental health disorders, metabolic disorders and pain management clinic in psychiatry.
